Saudi Arabia and Britain has sign a military cooperation deal, according to Saudi state media. This was concluded two days after Gulf rival Qatar signed a deal to buy jet fighters from the European nation.
The negotiation was done after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman talked about security ties with visiting British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency said without further elaborating details of the agreement.The agreement was made as Britain seeks to explore lucrative trade deals outside Europe, such as energy-rich Gulf monarchies, after voting to leave the European Union.

Furthermore, Qatar also signed an agreement to buy 24 Typhoon fighter jets from Britain on sunday. This is said to be a second major defence agreement signed by Doha during its prolonged diplomatic dispute with its neighbors.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt cut ties with Qatar in June. These regions accused Qater for backing extremism and fostering ties with their Shiite rival Iran.
